Well made and works well at removing loose hair from our dogs. Good value for the price.
This glove is perfect for our one kitty who hates to be brushed. Our family recently added kitty number three, a big beautiful long haired Maine Coon who despises being brushed or bathed. It was such a struggle as fine cat hair started taking over our life. Honestly, I did not think this grooming glove would work, but let me just say it is wonderful. Our kitty Nicki just loves the feeling it gives him, and we love the astounding amount of kitty his hair that is now in the glove and not on every surface in our home.
This glove is great and my kitty loves it and begged me to keep using it. I can not believe all the hair it got and I had just brushed her. The hair is easy to remove from the glove it just peels off and only leaves a few strands which I used my dust buster to remove.
Fantastic dog grooming aid! Our older rescue dog isn't too keen on the routine dog brushing stuff but her thick coat really needs the grooming - this dog grooming glove is the exactly right answer. Put the glove on, pet the dog, and all that loose hair comes away leaving her coat feeling so much smoother and softer without causing her to be nervous or upset over a brushing. Highly recommend, and yes I'm going to be ordering as gifts for a couple of other dog owners I know!
loved other grooming mitts and so when I misplaced on of those I had to get a new one. The gloves were a little different but looked like they might be a bit more versatile. It turns out that there are a few things that make me like this one better than others.
1. The fingers do make it more versatile. When introducing it to our new cat, this one is really easy to rub under her chin, the top of her head, and on her cheek. The fingers are smaller than the whole mitt and can be better directed so I can be careful to only touch what I want to brush, not accidentally get it near her eyes or on her ears.
2. The nubs on this one are a bit longer and conical than the mitts so it brushes deeper. It picks up a lot of loose fur, similar to that of the mitt for the cat but because of the shape and length of the nubs it also works well on our dog (a German Shepard/Aussi mix). The previous mitts didn't touch the dog's undercoat because the nubs couldn't get past the surface guard fur.
3. The mitts have always had too large wrist size to stay snugly on. The hand on this glove is a good size - maybe a men's medium or a little larger but the wrist is very adjustable. I usually use a women's small or medium size glove.
If I were to have to decide on a negative I would say that the nubs are maybe a bit long for a short-haired cat making the grooming a bit aggressive. If your cat has sensitive skin you may want to reconsider but I don't think this is an issue for a cat that really likes a good strong rub. For us it's perfect.
